R Alan Burgess served twenty years in the U S Navy as a submariner and officer in the Nuclear Propulsion Program. He holds an ALB and ALM in Creative Writing and Literature from Harvard University, with early undergraduate work at Louisiana State University. He and his family reside in Virginia. His work includes speculative fiction short stories and novels, and a feature length screenplay.
